Un tour por el Cementerio General del Sur en Caracas cuenta la historia de Venezuela

Discovering cemeteries as a tourist attraction? This is common in Paris with Montmartre or Père-Lachaise, Recoletas in Buenos Aires, or Colón in Havana, but it seemed unthinkable that this could happen in Caracas with the Cementerio General del Sur. Insecurity, the desecration of graves, and the public's own indifference to the existence of artworks and the neglect that is part of the city's heritage values have kept this cemetery located in southwest Caracas practically forgotten. Gerónimo Maneiro, a graphic designer and cultural promoter, dared to consider it at the end of 2023. It all stemmed from a curiosity about his interest in the life of Venezuelan pilot Carlos Meyer Baldó, who commanded a plane during World War I, and that led him to visit his grave. So don't miss Andrés Rojas' interview with Geronimo Maneiro about this initiative and leave us your opinion in the comments 💬
