Machine Knitting on the Silver Reed Punchcard Machine - Video Nine - Garment Making Up
This series was designed to show you the bare minimum of machine knitting techniques required to construct a basic garment - namely, a sweater. All too often lovely neat knitting is let down by untidy or badly executed sewing up. This video shows two useful techniques for making up - backstitching a neckband and mattress stitching an invisible seam. I hope at the completion of this series you will feel ready to tackle one of the projects on the Facebook group “Machine Knitting Beginners and Returners Circle”. In the Facebook group I can post patterns, notes and schematics, as well as the video tutorials, so you get help for every stage of the process.
