There are several different cast on methods which can be used on a knitting machine, and each method has its appropriate uses. In this third video, I demonstrate two methods of temporary cast on, user for practice and swatches, and for the process of making turned hems and mock ribs. Neither would be suitable as a finished edge on a garment, but are important elements of the machine knitter’s repertoire.
