Bellringing at St. Chad's RC Cathedral, Birmingham
The bells here are a very fine - if slightly challenging - ring of 8, cast in 1939 by Taylors. The tenor (the largest bell) weighs 15-3-6, or about 3/4 of a ton if you have no idea about hundredweights, quarters and pounds. Here, the Young Bellringers ring the classic 3-lead touch of Bristol Surprise Major whilst on the outing to Birmingham in July 2011.
