Bell Ringing at St Philip's Cathedral, Birmingham, West Midlands

The third tower of the YCRA Outing to Birmingham. St Philip's Cathedral in Birmingham have a ring of twelve bells with the back ten cast in 1937 and then augmented to twelve in 1949 they are a grand and glorious peal of twelve bells. They go superbly well for their weight and are easy to strike well. The ringing room acoustics could do with a little twiddling but overall they sound clean and crisp in the ringing chamber. Outside they have a grandness to them, the tenor roars all day long and they are really nice to listen to. Here is a clip of rounds on twelve. Enjoy!
