I moderated a PhD panel on 5 hours of sleep (send help)

PhD life in Toronto doesn't pause for Easter Monday — or for -17°C in April. This is what a real Tuesday looks like when you're running on 5 hours of sleep and somehow moderating a scientific communications panel before noon. This vlog follows a full day: getting ready at home (with bangs curling situation that did not go as planned), moderating a panel on science communication at UofT as a Medical Biophysics PhD candidate, dealing with a post-panel headache in the sunshine, heading to the lab for cell work, squeezing in grocery shopping, and ending the night hosting friends for the first time. It's a lot. It's also just… a Tuesday in grad school. If you're a PhD student, a grad school applicant, or someone who finds comfort in watching other people survive their week — this one's for you. ✦ ABOUT ME I'm Roya — a PhD candidate in Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto, documenting the real, unfiltered side of grad school life. New videos every two weeks. #PhDLife #StudyVlog #GradSchool #TorontoLife
