Chasing the Black Hag | A Wild Camp in the Scottish Borders

The Cheviot Brewery does a rich oatmeal stout called "Black Hag" after a remote summit on the Scottish/ Northumbrian border. What better place could there be to enjoy beer than the place it was named after? I couldn't find an easy route up and by the time we got to Black Nag itself, we felt we were well deserving of the beer Accompanied by Adrian and Shaun Mac ‪@northumberlandmountainhopper‬ ‪@macinthewild8116‬ It turned out to be a wonderful night, one of the very best I have spent in the Cheviot Hills with an astonishing sunset and a night sky sprinked with a smattering of stars. A rare dry and wind free night without a single midge- heaven indeed.
