How to choose a school for our children? In education, we must remember that each student is different and that education should strive to be personalized. Leon Trahtemberg is an educator. His frustration with the persistence of the worn-out and ineffective 19th-century educational paradigms still in place today led him to enter the public sphere through the media and conferences, confronting the political and educational establishment by arguing that students don't learn from their outdated teachers "in self-defense." About TEDx In the spirit of "ideas worth spreading," TED has created a program called TEDx: independently organized, local events that bring people together around a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks videos and speakers alternate to create in-depth discussions and foster connections among the attendees. These local, independently organized events carry the TEDx brand, where the x stands for "independently organized TED event." The TED conference provides an outline for the TEDx program, but each TEDx event is loosely organized, subject to certain rules and regulations.
