How I Record & Mix Saxophone (as a saxophone player)

Recording saxophone in my home studio, and showing you how I mix it to get the best sound I can. Touching on microphone placement, mic choice, and my approach to mixing saxophone, using compression, EQ, slapback delay and reverb. I'm using a Warm Audio 47 (a modern Neumann U47 clone), one of the best options for a professional microphone for the saxophone. Although I'm not a professional sound engineer, I hope you can pick up some tips and tricks for mixing and recording saxophone at home or in a studio. This is meant purely as my take on the process, and I'm fully aware that other do this way better than me. I do however know my saxophone sound better than anyone else, and even if you're a professional, hearing my take might be helpful or insightful. __________________________ 🎧 Listen to my latest release Slackline - https://li.sten.to/pq5p0dxq 💬 Subscribe to my Patreon -   / magnusbakken   🔔 Don’t forget to like, subscribe and comment
