The cooler weather has me craving autumn dishes, so I made a hearty chicken stew with pot barley and an apple crumble for pudding. Despite the rain, I pushed myself to head out for a walk—and I loved that cosy feeling of coming back in afterwards. Tired Day & Bakery Treats | Daily Vlog | Sun 31st August (2025) Not the best day today—my bad shoulder kept me awake at night, and the lack of sleep left me grumpy. I stayed in bed for most of the day, only getting up and dressed in the late afternoon. A gentle stroll down the high street lifted my spirits, especially when I found an end-of-day bakery sale at Glenn’s favourite spot. I picked up some delicious treats to bring home. Family Arrivals, Charity Shop Finds & Paignton Fish & Chips | Daily Vlog | Mon 1st September (2025) Harry and Hayley arrived with the twins for their week’s holiday, staying at a nearby holiday park. We had a little wander around the charity shops and came away with some great finds, including dinosaurs, new sunglasses and a hat. In the evening, we headed to Paignton for dinner, a stroll along the beach, and classic fish and chips by the sea. Rainy Day Ice Cream in Brixham | Daily Vlog | Tues 2nd September (2025) We headed into Brixham to meet up with Harry, Hayley, and the twins. Even though the rain came down, we still treated ourselves to some delicious ice cream—it’s always a good idea, rain or shine! Rainy Day at Pennywell Farm & September Goals | Daily Vlog | Wed 3rd September (2025) We spent the morning at Pennywell Farm with Harry, Hayley, and the twins. The rain was relentless, but it didn’t dampen our spirits, we still had such a great time. Back at home, I set some goals for September and handed in a volunteering application form to the charity shop. I’ve got an induction lined up for next Friday, and I’m really looking forward to it. Rain, Sunshine & A Fresh Haircut | Daily Vlog | Thurs 4th September (2025) After a restless night with my bad shoulder, I was up early and went for a long walk. It poured with rain at first, but then cleared to sunshine—it felt good to get out. Later, I had my hair cut, and I absolutely love it. In the afternoon, I caught the bus into Paignton to meet Glenn, Harry, Hayley, and the twins. I got caught in several showers along the way—it felt like the rain was following me everywhere! Frozen Shoulder Diagnosis & A Quiet Evening Out | Daily Vlog | Fri 5th September (2025) I went to the doctors this morning and was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder. I’ve been referred to see a physiotherapist and now have some stronger painkillers to help manage it. Harry, Hayley, and the twins headed home today—it feels so quiet without them. I spent the afternoon working, and in the evening Glenn and I went to the cinema to watch The Life of Chuck. Welcome to A Life Full of Meaning I’m so glad you’re here.
