Acolhimento familiar e institucional: o recomeço de crianças e jovens

When a child or adolescent is removed from their family by court order, a journey begins marked by challenges, but also by protection, care, and new possibilities. In this edition, Repórter Justiça shows how family foster care and institutional foster care work, measures provided for by law to guarantee the safety of children and adolescents whose rights have been violated. The report follows the stories of foster families and adolescents preparing to leave foster care institutions, revealing the challenges of building autonomy and transitioning to adulthood. The program also highlights the role of the Judiciary and the National Council of Justice in the comprehensive protection of children and youth, through policies such as the National Adoption and Foster Care System and the Novos Caminhos program, which expands opportunities for education, professional training, and insertion into the job market. Among moving stories of overcoming adversity and initiatives that transform lives, Repórter Justiça shows that foster care does not represent the end of a story, but the beginning of a path towards a new start. #FamilyFosterCare #Childhood #Adoption #CNJ
