Every shot from my round at Garnant Park Golf Club, Garnant, Carmarthenshire on 17th September 2024. 👉 Many more every shot golf vlogs here    • 18 Hole, Every Shot Golf Round Vlogs   Garnant Park can well justify the label of being a hidden gem, being out of the way for most but certainly a smashing venue for golf. Located on the hillside above Garnant, the course offers fabulous views of the Amman Valley & Brecon Beacons beyond and also a golfing challenge to match. Opened in just 1997 and built on a former open cast site, it has an established feel to it and with its USPGA spec greens and tees, the course has a great quality feel to it, which is reinforced by it being one of the friendliest courses I've had the pleasure of visiting, counting Welsh Rugby's Shane Williams as one if its famous local players.   / shanemwilliams   I'd played 18 holes nearby in the morning at Glynhir and Garnant Park was always going to be played on the same day with the two courses being located a few miles apart. Garnant is a more open style course, retaining parkland features but having a strong links feel to it, with contoured mounds a constant feature along with many clover shaped undulating greens. The greens were very good throughout the round with very few flat puts on offer. Every green has something to it and as such, it's a great but fair challenge to match the pace and line on every putt. The greens always had a consistent pace and were a pleasure to play on. The fairways too were a credit to the ground staff, offering some bounce and roll despite the country suffering yet more crazy recent rainfall. I was made to feel really welcome here at Garnant with several chats to members on my way round feeling like meeting old friends. Great value green fees as well with the round costing me just £25 - a steal for a course of this standard, not mentioning the wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Several really good holes here too with the 4th, 11th and 12th making my favourites shortlist for the year. Plenty of other good ones here too with 17 & 18 being memorable for different reasons! I really can't recommend Garnant Park highly enough. I had such a fantastic afternoon here and the only minor downside was having to leave at the end of a fabulous day and face 2 hours in the car driving home.
