18 Holes at GreenMeadow Golf & Country Club. Every shot from my round at this super parkland course.

Every shot from my round at the GreenMeadow Golf & Country Club in Cwmbran, Torfaen, on 17th May 2024. The weather promised to be kind to me again on Friday so I hoped to add a couple of courses to my played and filmed list, starting off at the Green Meadow course just outside Cwmbran. It was a misty early morning drive there following yet more heavy rain in the week but there was promise of a dry day in store so I booked in for an early tee time. It was totally still for pretty much all the round which meant there was quite a humid feel with the damp ground but it certainly didn't detract from the course or my round which today was excellent. I kept on getting pars which resulted in a fantastic score around this super course with several really challenging holes. The course has a nice balanced parkland layout with something different to every hole. I quickly found the pace of the greens to be really good, despite how wet the previous week had been, and they were very consistent throughout. The fairways were a little varied with some still quite wet but it didn't detract from my experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. There are plenty of nice little touches all around the course that all add up to a rewarding round of golf. I was impressed throughout my visit here and all the members and staff I spoke to were very friendly and helpful. It's really easy to get to as well, being just off the main dual carriageway but certainly secluded enough to feel like you're out connecting with nature whilst on the course.
