CSX: History of a Design

During the 1970s and 80s, Chessie System and the Family Lines System worked together to merge and eventually created CSX Transportation in 1987. CSX's history is deeply rooted in the eastern half of the United States and their blue and gold locomotives seemingly pay homage to their predecessors.
