Noah Rabasco - Il problema delle critiche a Tecnogym: senza numeri non basta dire "biomeccanica"
Second part of the public analysis of the Noha Rabasco vs. Technogym case. After discussing the general controversy surrounding Danny Lazzarin's gym, we delve into the technical criticisms of the individual machines: seated leg curls, direct-load leg extensions, and Technogym shoulder presses. Noha Rabasco raises some interesting points: the lack of a thigh pad in the leg curl, possible stress on the posterior cruciate ligament, the resistance profile of the leg extension, the ROM during the stretch, the trajectory of the shoulder press, the angle of the handles, and the involvement of the lateral deltoid. But do these criticisms really hold up if we look at them from an engineering perspective? In this video, we try to distinguish between: sensible biomechanical criticism; personal preference; genuine design issue; intentional compromise; oversimplification; technically correct statement but irrelevant if not quantified. The key point is simple: in fitness, we often talk about biomechanics, resistance profiles, and "poorly made" machines, but too rarely do we consider the numbers, actual forces, stability, stiffness, context of use, and the type of user for whom a machine was designed. Is Technogym perfect? No. Are criticisms of Technogym always wrong? No. But there's a huge difference between "this machine sucks" and "this design choice is a precise compromise."
