Richard Kieselhorst was transferred to South Vietnam from West Germany. The Tet Offensive of January 1968 began the day after he arrived in country. He served with the U.S. Army's Ninth Infantry Division in the Mekong Delta. In this excerpt from a longer discussion, he shares memories of a fight in which he was seriously wounded.
