Road to Mabua I Kalahari Chronicles Ep5 Nossob | Bosobegolo Trail I Mpaya

In hierdie episode pak ons een van die bekendste en mees afgeleë roetes in die Kgalagadi aan — die Bosobogolo-roete vanaf Nossob tot diep in die Mabuasehube-wildernis. Met sandduin op sandduin, vars leeuspore langs die pad en ure se stadige ry deur die Kalahari, begin die avontuur nou eers regtig voel soos ’n ekspedisie. Ons maak ook ’n draai by die bekende uitgebrande Toyota Prado wat al jare lank soos ’n stille monument tussen die duine staan… ’n herinnering dat hierdie roete nie onderskat moet word nie. Van “Milkshake Road” grappies en bande afblaas… tot ’n lang dag se ry om betyds by Mpaya kamp uit te kom — hierdie was een van die mees uitdagende maar opwindende dae van die hele reis. Maar met ons aankoms by Mpaya wag daar ’n vreemde verrassing op ons… 👀 In this episode we tackle one of the most remote and well-known routes in the Kgalagadi — the Bosobogolo route from Nossob deep into the Mabuasehube wilderness. With dune after dune, fresh lion tracks along the road and hours of slow driving through the Kalahari, the adventure finally starts to feel like a true expedition. We also stop at the famous burnt-out Toyota Prado that has stood between the dunes for years… a silent reminder that this route should never be underestimated. From “Milkshake Road” jokes and airing down tyres… to pushing through a long day just to make it to Mpaya camp before dark — this turned out to be one of the most challenging but exciting days of the entire journey.
