Lions in Camp, camp food and good times in Mabuasehube
🦁 MABUASEHUBE – LIONS IN CAMP, FRIENDS AND MEMORIES TO LAST A LIFETIME Deep in the eastern reaches of Botswana's Kalahari lies Mabuasehube, a place whose name means "red earth" and whose history is woven into the ancient landscapes of the Kalahari. Once a remote wilderness known only to local communities, it is now one of the most sought-after destinations for overlanders and wildlife enthusiasts seeking a truly wild African experience. Our May 2026 adventure with Trans Africa Self Drive Adventures and Tours took us into this untamed corner of the Kalahari, where vast open plains, ancient pans, and spectacular sunsets create a landscape unlike any other. Wildlife was abundant, from elegant antelope and curious jackals to the magnificent predators that make Mabuasehube famous. The highlight of our journey came when lions visited our camp. As darkness settled over the Kalahari and the sounds of the bush came alive, these incredible animals reminded us that we were guests in their wilderness. Moments like these are impossible to forget and are what make Mabuasehube such a special destination. Yet, as remarkable as the wildlife was, the true heart of the adventure was found around the campfire. Sharing stories under a canopy of stars, enjoying hearty camp meals, laughing with friends old and new, and embracing the simple rhythm of life in the bush created memories that will stay with us forever. This is more than just a destination. It is a place where adventure, friendship, wildlife, and the spirit of Africa come together. Join us in this video as we relive an unforgettable journey through one of Botswana's most iconic wilderness areas. 🦁 Lions in Camp 🔥 Campfire Stories 🍲 Great Camp Food 👥 Lifelong Friendships 🚙 True Self-Drive Adventure #TransAfrica #Mabuasehube #Botswana #LionsInCamp #Kalahari #SafariAdventure #SelfDriveAfrica
