Origin

Origin is a 24+ minute freeform piano improvisation—my longest recorded work to date. It begins from a tonal foundation, gradually expanding into abstraction, where density and structure emerge in real time, before returning to a tonal framework. The piece traces a full cycle of transformation—form arising, dissolving, and reconstituting—without predetermined design. This work explores duration, space, and the gradual evolution of musical language, in contrast to shorter, more compressed improvisations such as Invention.
