The Artful Dodger Project | Ambrosia

Here's a mysterious Drum 'n' Bass remix of 'Professor Layton and The Eternal Diva' (2009). Inspired by the mystery of the film's complicated plot, I decided to insert a bit of a mystery into the song's use of modal harmony and inverted baselines; thus creating a haunting texture that underlines the warm and breathy vocals and samples. I'm not really an anime fan, and I never really got the chance to play the games in full; but I love the influences the film has from Tintin to Sherlock Holmes and I think I've done my best at capturing the film's adventurous tone. Due to some complications, the video quality isn’t perfect but I tried to keep the visuals as clean and crisp as possible (with my copy of the film being somewhat subpar!) Me and Simmertunes however, are hoping to try and make a ‘final’ version of the video for an upcoming album release! So stay tuned for that! Composed with samples from the film's vocals, dialogue, soundtrack and sound fx, and samples from my track 'Transcend'.
