Chapter 2. European Integration and Foreign Policy: Historical Overview In this chapter, Stephan Keukeleire (KU Leuven) and Tom Delreux (UCLouvain) provide a historical overview of European integration and foreign policy (1945-2020). The discussion presents European integration itself as the product of structural foreign policy and discusses the successive deepening and widening of European foreign policy cooperation and integration throughout the decades.
