E Aural Trainer Sight Singing the Upper Part - Grade 7 Aural.
In Grade 7 Aural you will be expected to sing the upper part of a two part phrase. This is quite similar to what you did in Grade 6 where you sang to an accompaniment. The extra difficulty you will find in this grade is that the lower part is more independent from your part. In Grade 6 there were often similarities and even common notes at times. So it is even more important to not let the lower part distract you. Of course you will need to keep half an ear open to it so as to sing in time.
