Poros Island - So easy to reach from Athens!

Poros Island- Travels by Jeremy & Sebastian Poros is a charming Greek island located in Greece' Saronic Gulf. The islands of the Saronic Gulf are quite close to Athens, which makes them a great option to visit for short getaways from the capital. Poros is well connected from the port of Athens and can generally be reached in approximately 1.5 hours with Hellenic Seaways. The island maintains a traditional look and feel and is characterised by whitewashed houses with terracotta roofs. We stayed at the Dimitra Boutique Hotel, located just a short walk from the island's port and spent 3 days resting and recharging on this beautiful island. Poros was a delight.
