How to Setup Unity MCP with Claude Code, Codex & Gemini CLI

In this video, I’ll show you how to set up and configure a Unity MCP server and connect it to Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and Google’s Gemini CLI so you can control and edit Unity scenes using natural language. We’ll walk through the MCP setup process, configure each AI client, and test the workflow by creating a simple outer space scene inside Unity complete with planet Earth, sunlight, and a starry background. This is a really interesting step forward for AI-assisted game development and editor tooling. While it won’t replace learning Unity itself, it already opens up some powerful possibilities for prototyping, scene creation, automation, and experimentation.
