Queen - Live in Fukuoka (20th October 1982) - Shakuntala Release
QUEEN QUEEN QUEEN Tour: • Hot Space Tour (1982) | Leg 3: Japan Date: 20th October 1982 Venue: Fukuoka Kyuden Kinen Gymnasium City: Fukuoka, Japan Attendance: ca. 2,000 Audio Quality: A- Lineage: AUD - ? - "Sekarashika" (Shakuntala STCD 162-163) - EZ CD Audio Converter - FLAC Level 5 Shared by Gullveig.org The pictures were taken by Koh Hasebe. For the second night in Fukuoka, which would turn out to be Queen's last performance in the city as they wouldn't return in 1985, the band have decided to shake things up a little in typical 1982 fashion: 'The Hero' gets replaced by the intro of 'Rock It (Prime Jive)' as heard in Oakland, 'Somebody to Love' makes its return at the expanse of 'Play the Game' and 'Love of My Life' is finally permanently re-added to the show. Additionally, the not-so-much-hit-single-but-always-sounding-great-live 'Back Chat' gets its final full performance tonight, being played in the same spot as heard in Berlin, Montreal and Inglewood before. Another Inglewood change re-appearing tonight is a (probably impromptu) performance of Elton John's 'Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)' which, alongside the first of many terrific 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' performances, prove how much the band are enjoying themselves in Japan, even when feeling tired of touring at this point. Freddie's voice has weakened quite drastically, leading to many (quite bad) cracks and one of the all-time worst performance of 'Under Pressure'. As already mentioned in the description of the previous show, the original bootlegs who released these two shows in the 1980s were looking to sell them as tapes from Inglewood and while this tape is musically complete, any mentions of Japan or Japanese sentences were removed from Freddie's speeches. This upload uses a different release with some digital remastering from the label. 00:00:00 - 01. Flash's Theme (tape / cut) 00:01:44 - 02. Rock It (Prime Jive) 00:03:05 - 03.
