In these cases, I always recommend initially visiting a specialist or physical therapist to assess your case and give you advice. If you're one of those who experience this discomfort, or even without feeling it, and would like to strengthen your knees and ankles, I recommend this routine. It includes knee, ankle, and hip flexion and extension movements, as well as balance exercises.
