ANNIHILATED! GM Remanufactured Silverado 6.0L Engine DESTROYED After Just 5 Years!

HOWEVER, this is a GM Remanufactured engine from 2019 and it is probably the worst 6.0L I've ever torn down. Most of the core LS architecture engines I get in have damage but nothing close to this level. So why did it fail so badly? Was this intentional? was something wrong from the very beginning? Was someone else inside of this engine? This is the LY6, an iron block engine found in the 07+ Silverado and Sierra 2500 and 3500, savanna and express 2500 and 3500. This engine is from a 2007 Silverado 2500 and since its a remanufactured engine, I don;'t know how many miles are on it, but from the date codes, its only 5 years old! Yikes! So, why am I doing this? My name is Eric and I own and run Importapart. We are a full service auto dismantler and part of our model includes buying core or bad engines to dismantle and salvage the good parts for resale. 1999+ GM V8 engines are our bread and butter and we probably dismantle 100-150 of these engines a year. ITS BAD ALREADY 04:21 Unbolting the broken intake manifold and looking at the intake ports 05:39 Zipping the bolts out of the exhaust manifolds to remove them 06:32 Peeling off the LH Valve cover 07:13 Cracking the rocker arm bolts loose, removing them and pushrods 07:49 SPARKLES 08:20 Cracking the deadbolts loose 08:51 Pulling the LH Cylinder head off.
