#certiorari #appeals #civilappealsattorney #floridaappealsjournal #supremecourt FLORIDA APPEALS JOURNAL™ JOURNAL ENTRY 26.2022 Recorded on July 6, 2022 The Standards of Review for a petition of Certiorari at the United States Supreme Court are quite specific and very narrowly defined. What kinds of cases does the Supreme Court accept? The bottom line: it’s a very rare case. In this episode, we discuss some of the kinds of cases the Supreme Court might consider, including a situation in which a U.S. Court Of Appeals has issued a decision that is in conflict with another U.S. Court of Appeals. Of the Supreme Court takes a case it will be for compelling reasons. It will be an important federal question. CITATION Brockett v.
