The show initially aired in 2019, and it has been a viral sensation, sparking a lot of interesting discourse ever since. Throughout each season, we follow a variety of couples in intense therapy sessions from the beginning of their therapy journey, all the way to the end. We see them really open up, while being brutally honest with themselves and their partners. Due to the intense nature of the work, the participants are able to figure out what is best for them; whether that be staying in the relationship, or ending the relationship. Regardless of their choice, Dr. Orna is there to help guide them, and facilitate healthy discussions. Dr. Orna is a true professional, and always does her best to support both partners, while also holding them accountable and encouraging them to become the absolute best versions of themselves independently, and in connection to one another. The show has been wildly successful because of the vulnerability, but also the sheer audacity of a lot of the men. The fifth season of Couples Therapy aired in May of 2026, and once again, clips of the show went viral. Chris & Sienna's clips went viral for all of the wrong reasons, and they had to be the couple we spoke about first, simply because I found Chris to be extremely problematic, and manipulative, while also being very clearly traumatized from his childhood experiences. I felt as if his childhood trauma completely shifted focus from the many other things that deserved attention throughout their sessions.
