Working in the Rain and a 18 km Trip to Prepare My New Cargo Ship
Hello, dear friends ❤️ Early this morning, I woke up to rain falling over the river. Even though the weather was cold and wet, I still climbed down into the cargo hold to sweep away the dust and tiny rust particles left behind after sanding the steel a few days ago. In just two days, my ship is expected to receive its first cargo, and I wanted to make sure the cargo hold was as clean and well protected as possible before loading began. I didn’t want the rust dust to remain on the fresh paint any longer than necessary, so it was a job that simply couldn’t wait, even in the rain 🌧️♥️ After finishing the work, I rode my motorbike about 18 km to Ngoc Hien Town to buy a few more everyday items for life aboard my new ship. Along the way, I passed a beautiful offshore wind farm near the East Sea. Watching the giant wind turbines standing above the coastline was a wonderful sight and one of the highlights of my day. By the time I finished shopping and returned, it was already past noon. Before heading back to the ship, I treated myself to a cold cup of milk tea after the long morning of work. It was a small reward that made the day feel a little brighter ❤️ Every day aboard this new ship brings another small task to complete, but little by little everything is coming together. I’m looking forward to the day when this ship finally receives her first cargo and begins many new journeys across the rivers of the Mekong Delta. Thank you, dear friends, for always following my life, encouraging me, and traveling alongside me through your screens. Your kindness means more to me than words can express. Wishing all of you peace, good health, happiness, and safe journeys wherever you are in the world. With love from Vietnam, Diễm An ❤️
