To truly understand the causes of current global warming, it's necessary to understand the meaning of "geological time" and understand the carbon cycle. Andrea offers a synthesis of these two themes, along with a simple and trivial experiment that demonstrates the impact of human activities on climate change. After earning a bachelor's and master's degrees in Geology and a Master's degree in Georesources in his hometown of Naples, Andrea began his professional career in Glasgow at the Scottish company Midland Valley Exploration, before moving to Paris to work at the French National Institute of Energy. He has traveled the world, worked on international projects in underground geological exploration and modeling, founded a social media channel for Geopop in 2018, and published "Un Tesoro al Piano Terra" (Cairo Editore) in 2021. Thanks to his videos, he has brought millions of followers closer to science. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
