石巻市立大川小学校跡　繰り返さないために！

I've been visiting the disaster-stricken areas of Sanriku, and my final stop was Okawa Elementary School. My prior knowledge was limited to what I'd heard on the news; actually going there was completely different from what I'd imagined, and I was stunned. They had 50 minutes, but they only started running one minute before the tsunami hit. Even then, if they had run towards the mountains, they could have made it! Why?! The past cannot be changed, but this trip has made me acutely aware of the importance of passing on these lessons to the future so that the same tragedy never happens again. This channel is called "Easygoing Paradise," but I'm sorry, it's not easy to watch.
