Hello everyone, this time we're disassembling a Komatsu PC128 hydraulic backhoe to investigate a malfunctioning recoil cylinder after the tracks frequently came off. The repair shop recommended replacing the recoil cylinder assembly, but that would be expensive, so we asked if a simple seal replacement would fix the problem, which led us to this project. There is some rust on the rod, but it's not severe enough to cause grease leakage, so we'll complete the job by replacing the seal. If the rod had been more rusty, we would have considered re-plating it, but I'm glad it was an easy fix.👍 Thank you for watching.
