At the age 13 she became the youngest swimmer in history to participate in the Asian Games. Motivated by a strong desire to change the perception of “Disability”, Mei swam on a international level including the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympics and now is a holder of 9 national records. After ranking No.1 in the world in 2020, she announced her retirement from swimming in 2021. After retiring from swimming she has expanded her activities to speaking, modeling, acting, and corporate partnerships.
