At the age 13 she became the youngest swimmer in history to participate in the Asian Games. Motivated by a strong desire to change the perception of “Disability”, Mei swam on a international level including the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympics and now is a holder of 9 national records. After ranking No.1 in the world in 2020, she announced her retirement from swimming in 2021.
