Millennials REFUSE To Say "No" To Their Kids...Or Are They Doing Their Best?

Millennials refuse to say no to their kids...Or are they doing their best? Because the question of whether parents are actually parenting is one people have very strong feelings about. Download my free parent guide available below to help you get started with reading. www.jonayves.com/jonayves-parent-reading-pdf There's a pattern a lot of people are noticing — kids who are used to getting what they want, who don't handle being told no well, and who show up in classrooms, stores, and social situations without the basic understanding that the world doesn't bend around them. And a growing number of people are pointing directly at parents who won't draw the line. The argument is straightforward. When kids never hear no at home, they're not prepared for a world that says it constantly. Disrespect doesn't come from nowhere — it gets built slowly by environments where there are no real limits and no real consequences. But millennial parents aren't all just handing kids whatever they want out of laziness. A lot of them are exhausted, working constantly, and trying to hold things together in ways that leave very little energy for the fight that comes with holding a boundary. Saying yes is sometimes just survival. Whether that explanation holds up when the results show up in how kids behave is where the conversation splits. I've worked with thousands of families from Kindergarten to Grade 12. How kids respond to boundaries at school almost always reflects what boundaries look like at home. Do you think parents are failing to say no — or is there more to it. Leave a comment. If your child is struggling with reading or math, the guide above is a good place to start.
