Teachers Are SICK Of Millennial Parents...What's Happening?

Teachers are sick of millennial parents. What's happening? Because this keeps coming up — and the frustration from educators is getting harder to ignore. Download my free parent guide available below to help you get started with reading. www.jonayves.com/jonayves-parent-reading-pdf Teachers are saying millennial parents aren't parenting — and that it's showing up directly in how kids behave and learn in the classroom. Kids who haven't been given boundaries. Kids who expect to negotiate everything. Kids who have never really been told no in a way that stuck. And educators are running out of patience with it. But millennial parents have heard this before, and a lot of them are pushing back. They'll say they are parenting — just differently than the generation before them. More aware, more intentional, more tuned into what their kids are feeling. Whether that approach is producing the results teachers are hoping to see in the classroom is where the gap lives. The harder question is whether teachers and millennial parents are actually working toward the same thing and just disagreeing on the method, or whether something more fundamental has broken down in how these two groups see each other. I've worked with thousands of families from Kindergarten to Grade 12. When teachers and parents stop trusting each other, kids end up absorbing that tension whether anyone intends it or not. What do you think is really happening here. Leave a comment. If your child is struggling with reading or math, the guide above is a good place to start.
