Sometimes Meltdowns Happen, Sometimes Things Get Broken
Sensory overload, meltdowns, dis-regulation... This is real life and what autism parents experience. The hardest part about these things is seeing what our daughter with autism has to go through. We have gotten to a point where these moments don't happen very often, but sometimes these rough times are unavoidable. That is a part of sensory processing disorder and autism. We all have tough days, her's just looks different. When things break, they are fixable or replaceable. No reason to get upset with her especially since this is out of her control. If you see a kid or even adult having a rough time in public and there is a parent/caregiver doing what they can to keep them safe. Please be kind. #autism #weefam #parenting
