How We Got Our Kid To Stop Biting
We are always encouraging our autistic daughter to stim when she needs to for regulating her senses. Some stims can be physically harmful which we re-direct to a stim that is more appropriate. What is stimming? According to Google: Stimming, or self-stimulating behavior, is the repetition of physical movements, sounds, words, or moving objects. It can involve one part of the body, the entire body, or an object. Stimming can serve a variety of purposes, including: Reducing anxiety and calming the individual, Coping with sensory overload, and Relieving physical discomfort. #weefam #autism #familyvideo #autismfamily
