Sports massage for the tibialis anterior
In this video, I demonstrate some basic assessment of the ankle and tibialis anterior tonicity along with a simple mobilisation technique to free up your athlete's ankle. Tibialis anterior is a highly neglected muscle of the leg and is integral to having great balance between your plantar and dorsi flexors. Also remember the trigger point for the tibialis anterior is the upper third of the muscle and loves to refer to the big toe. Don't neglect this muscle when working with your running athletes - especially those that have a change of direction involved. BE AWESOME AT WHAT YOU DO Want to learn more?
