Steamboat DOOM! | Mouse: P.I. For Hire Gameplay (No Commentary Gameplay)

That makes two games in a row with absolutely phenomenal art styles! I am completely in love with the 1930s "rubber hose" cartoon aesthetic they nailed here. Playing in stark black-and-white feels perfectly at home with the gritty, noir atmosphere and the, Naked Gun-style narrative they are weaving.  Having fully beaten the game now, here are my qualitative thoughts on the overall experience: The Combat & Movement: The controls are incredibly tight. Moving around feels fluid, fast-paced, and can get remarkably frantic during big firefights. It honestly handles and moves a bit like classic DOOM—which is a massive compliment.  The Audio: If I had one minor critique, it's that some of the gun audio—specifically the standard pistol—sounds a little bit weak. It's a very small complaint in an otherwise spectacular package, but a bit more punch to the weapons would go a long way. Story & Humor: The narrative is delightfully cheesy (no pun intended... well, maybe a little) but it feels by design. It has a heavy Leslie Nielsen (The Naked Gun) slapstick flavor to how it approaches characters and dialogue. I personally adore that classic, dry sarcasm and physical humor, though people who’ve never seen these movies or didn’t grow up with them may not get it. Overall Verdict: Mouse: P.I. For Hire is a fantastic first-person shooter. Between the exceptional gunplay, the silly humor, and the striking hand-drawn visuals, it's an incredibly fun ride from start to finish. If you are a fan of retro shooters or unique art direction, you definitely need to give this game a look.  Did you grow up watching classic slapstick comedies like The Naked Gun?
