Focusing too much on yourself can be bad for your mental health.

Focusing too much on yourself can be bad for your mental health. When you habitually focus on the negative, that could include your perceived weaknesses or problems, your goal may be self improvement but it can actually have the opposite effect. This negative focus is also referred to as a negativity bias. When we are constantly looking for problems that tends to be all we see, even though we all have innate qualities that are positive and valuable. The good news is we now know we can rewire our brain. Using mindfulness and CBT you can change your focus and your life. And that last thing I forgot to mention was to focus on others. References Mor, N., & Winquist, J. (2002).
