CSX Reroutes across the Norfolk Southern Harrisburg Division

From February to September, 2025, CSX crews worked to modernize the Howard Street Tunnel in Baltimore, Maryland, updating clearances and modernizing the infrastructure to create a better corridor for traffic between the east coast ports and western inland destinations. In cooperation with Norfolk Southern, CSX sent a pair of trains each direction across portions of the Norfolk Southern Harrisburg Division in Eastern and Central Pennsylvania. During a visit to the area in June, I set out to capture some of these reroutes at some very familiar locations, many of which I had not been to in several years. While the locomotive variety is minimal, this was truly a historic moment and will likely not happen again, so I was very happy to have captured what I did. Enjoy, subscribe, and thanks for watching!!
