The Morning Freight, the Transfer Returns, an Ethanol Train and CSX Freights on the Wye

We start this video with a train I shot earlier the morning. I just arrived at Howell wye as a train was approaching and didn't have time to setup the drone so I drove down to the bridge to shoot this freight with the iPhone. I hate missing freight trains. It was a long one too. Another freight is sitting on the main. Probably one we already saw in a previous video. And then back to Howell wye. The NS morning transfer is still sitting in the middle of the wye as a westbound NS stack approaches. We let the drone rest for a few minutes before heading back down to catch the end of the stack and the transfer pulling out onto the main. Once that's clear the CSX freight can finally back into the yard. And then along comes another westbound NS stack sneaking up on us. This one with the City of Chicago unit second. The CSX freight has a nice pair of older YN2 units, two 9000 series. Over at Pine street we see another YN2 unit backing a train towards us. Then we hear the sound of wheel clanking and it's the transfer backing into Inman yard. Love the sound of EMD SD40's. And along comes the CSX freight backing in. But back on NS tracks we see an ethanol train approaching at track speed. We watch the CSX freight back in and call it a wrap for the day.
