Golden Valley Mine Exploration - Mojave National Preserve
This video describes our visit to the Golden Valley Mine in the Mojave National Preserve, California. This is a very old copper mine with a beautiful mineral vein. Copper was first discovered in this area as long ago as the 1860's. There is a road leading most of the way to the mine, although it gets rougher the further up you go. There are some nice camping sites in this area and it's a beautiful area to hike.
