High Roller 3 vs Maxxis Assegai: 15 Timed Runs

High Roller 3 vs Maxxis Assegai: which is faster as a front tyre? Both tyres were tested in MaxxGrip DoubleDown casing at BikePark Wales, with 15 timed laps split into 8 timing sectors. The footage is synced by distance using camillo.ai, so both runs stay locked to the same point on the trail and the time delta shows exactly where each tyre gains or loses time. The result was much more surprising than I expected. On the smoother opening section there was almost nothing between them, but once the trail got rougher the High Roller 3 started losing time. For me it felt less damped, more wooden, and more prone to being deflected offline than the Assegai. Final result: the High Roller 3 finished 2.11 seconds behind the Assegai. As always, this is one rider, one bike, one track and one set of conditions, but with 15 timed laps and sector-based analysis, I think the result tells a useful story.
