AVINOX is showing the future of e-MTBs! At Eurobike, I got a first look at an exciting new drive concept that has the potential to fundamentally change the e-mountain bike world. The prototype combines the motor, gearbox, and belt drive in a single integrated unit, potentially combining the advantages of a powerful e-bike motor with a low-maintenance gearbox solution. The combination with the new Mondraker frame, which appears to have been specifically designed for this system, is particularly interesting. Instead of a classic derailleur and derailleur system, the concept relies on a centralized drivetrain, which not only ensures a clean look but could also offer advantages in terms of wear, maintenance, and weight distribution. For years, the search has been on for solutions that better integrate the drivetrain and drivetrain, especially in the e-MTB, enduro e-bike, and all-mountain e-bike sectors.
