'9th of July Tours' at Wareham (09/07/26)

On the 9th of July every year there is at least one railtour through Wareham; this year there was two. Firstly, we see 47810 / D1924 'Crewe Diesel Depot' opening up through the station with the 'Dorset Coast Statesman', with 47830 / D1645 (formerly named 'Beeching's Legacy') on its first visit through Dorset since it was under the Freightliner ownership in 2023 for Swanage Railway's diesel gala event. Lastly, 35028 'Clan Line' follows through working the annual 'End of Southern Steam' tour to/from Weymouth, to mark 59 years since steam locomotive workings ended on the Southern region on 9th July 1967. 47802 was on the rear of the consist.
