Full Splits Yoga Flow: Complete Hip + Hamstring Opening (68 Min)

Ready to commit to your full splits? This 68-minute classic flow is the complete, comprehensive practice for building toward hanumanasana (full splits, also known as monkey pose). Where a quick splits practice maintains your progress, this longer flow systematically develops it: comprehensive hip opening, shoulder and front-body release, inner-thigh strengthening, and patient hamstring lengthening all build toward the peak pose. This is the deep work, for the days when you have a full hour to give to real flexibility development. This is a Classic Flows class at Level 2–3 — an intermediate-to-advanced practice for dedicated practitioners committed to splits work. The sequencing emphasizes patient front-leg hamstring lengthening and back-leg hip flexor opening (the two requirements for hanumanasana that most people work unevenly), inner-thigh strengthening for stability in the pose, and front-body and shoulder release that lets the whole body settle into the splits rather than brace against it. Two blocks, a blanket, and a strap recommended. The blocks support the front hip so you can build depth safely, and the strap helps in the preparatory work. Use them generously.
