When I was in Germany, I really liked the bretzels, so chubby and golden. This is a great snack for beer, in my opinion. Today you will see that cooking traditional bretzel at home is quite simple, although it will take some time. This traditional German pastry will not leave you indifferent! Portions: 4 pcs. Preparation time: 2 hours 10 minutes Cooking time: 10 minutes Ingredients for bretzel 250 g of flour 150 ml of milk ½ Art. l. sugar 1 tsp. salt 10 g of yeast 20 g of butter 3 st. l. soda 2 liters of water Step-by-step recipe for making bretzel Prepare all the ingredients to make a real golden bretzel. In a large bowl, pour 250 g of flour. Crush 10 g of yeast from one end of the bowl with your hands, crush them to make them work better. On the other side of the bowl lay out ½ Art. l. sugar and 1 tsp. salt. Add 20 g of butter and pour 150 ml of milk. Mix thoroughly and knead a homogeneous dough. Form a ball of dough, place in a bowl, cover with a towel and place in a warm place for 1 hour. Divide the dough into 8 parts. Form 8 bretzels. To do this, first roll each ball into a long strip. Then bring the ends of the strips together and roll the right edge over the left. Then twist the ends again. Then lift the edges of the strip upwards and clamp them on both sides of the bretzel. Do the same with the other seven parts of the dough. Place the formed braces on a parchment board and leave for 40 minutes for them to come together. Cover with a slightly damp towel so that the bretzel does not weather. When the braces rise, transfer them to the freezer on the board for 40 minutes. In a large saucepan, boil 2 liters of water, add 3 tbsp. l. soda. When the braces are raised, throw them in boiling water for 5 seconds and immediately remove with a skimmer. Spread on a baking sheet covered with parchment. Turn on the oven to preheat to 200 degrees. When you have cooked all 8 bretzels in this way and laid them out on a baking sheet, make small incisions in each one so that steam comes out during baking. Sprinkle the bretzel with coarse salt. Bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for 10 minutes, until golden brown. It is important not to overcook the bretzel in the oven, because as a result we will get something like bagels.
